Qualifications

As the Purchasing Manager, you will support the Director of Purchasing in management of all duties pertaining to the Purchasing Department.

Description

Starts Process

• Analyze & revise monthly budget reports.
• Assign Primary Vendors to developments.
• Assist Director of Purchasing with negotiations.
• Manage the tasks and workflow of purchasing personnel.
• Coordinate with Starts Department and manage starts schedules.
• Establish pricing and costs to be used by the Estimating Department.
• Compare and evaluate potential contractors/vendors.
• Oversee and manage the rebate programs.
• Periodically perform other assigned duties including:
• Assist with contract and addendum updates.
• Coordinate purchasing changes with the Estimating Department.
• Perform competition studies.
• Prepare memoranda on policy and material changes.

Required Skills

• Detail-oriented, and well organized with ability to prioritize.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with office staff, field personnel, vendors, and sub-contractors.
• Must be a team player with strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must have ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt to special tasks.
